What is Nerds ? N.E.R.D.S is a children's espionage-thriller series written by Michael Buckley and illustrated by Ethan Beavers. It is about kids who have weaknesses who get bullied a lot. What almost nobody in their school knows is that they are secretly superspies and save the world on a regular basis. Sci-fi elements are in these books too, such as alternate universes and time travel. The first novel is called N.E.R.D.S.: National Espionage, Rescue, and Defense Society and it is from Jackson Jones/Braceface's point of view. The second novel is called N.E.R.D.S.: M is for Mama's Boy and is told from Duncan Dewey/Gluestick's point of view. The third novel is called N.E.R.D.S.: The Cheerleaders of Doom, which is told from Matilda Choi/Wheezer's point of view. The fourth novel is called N.E.R.D.S.: The Villain Virus and is told from Julio Escala/Flinch's point of view. The fifth book, N.E.R.D.S.:Attack of the BULLIES, is told from Ruby Peet/Pufferfish's point of view.
